Nothing draws family in like hot cocoa in the winter months. In this Season of Preparation, a hot cocoa bar is a staple in our home. Make it fun and easy so anyone can serve up warm chocolate goodness any time of the day. In this Season of Preparation, gather your ingredients now so you can stay ahead of the season shopping rush!
The key to a good hot cocoa bar is both the ingredients as well as the display! Here, glass jars show the contents with bright red-striped bows and glass ornaments tied around the covers. This makes it easy to assemble drinks, as well as drawing the eye in with warm, welcoming colors. I added special teaspoons I had on hand to use as scoops. You could use mini teacups or vintage spoons as well. Here, fun paper napkins also carry the theme. I love to mix patterns — so have fun with it!
I picked up glass containers 50% off at Hobby Lobby. Head now to HomeGoods for bags of crushed peppermint, chocolate/marshmallow stirs, disposable cups, and paper napkins. Here you can find a set of 16 oz. glass coffee mugs perfect for sipping toasty drinks with holiday movies.
