Cinnamon Chip Scones

Bake a batch of these scones to make your home smell like goodness and comfort. I keep ingredients on hand so I can bake these anytime. Great with coffee, teatime, or breakfast for the kids.

INGREDIENTS Oven 425 degrees

2 cups flour (I prefer King Arthur flour)

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Half bag of Hershey’s Cinnamon Chips

1-1 1/3 cup heavy cream

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbs melted butter

Mix dry ingredients together well with a whisk. Stir in Cinnamon Chips.

Stir heavy cream and vanilla extract together in fluid measuring cup. Add to dry ingredients and stir with fork until a round begins to form. Mix loose dry ingredients together with hand and form into a smooth, round ball. Mixture will be sticky. Don’t overmix.

Place on baking pan and press into a round 3/4″ thick. Score into 8 pie-shaped pieces and pull pieces apart. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.

Scones freeze well up to a month. Keep storee in ziploc bag in freezer. Heat oven to 350 degrees and place pieces on baking pan. Bake 7-10 minutes or until heated through. Enjoy!
